Cathy:

Get the book "The Carbohydrate Addict's LifeSpan Plan" (CALP) by Drs. Richard and Rachel Heller. It's fabulous and tells you exactly what you should be eating. Do not confuse it with "The Carbohydrate Addict's Diet" by the same authors. The CALP book gives you more balance and makes this all easier to follow.
