To whom it may concernFrom: diana (anonymous@obgyn.net;.com;)Thu, 7 Mar 2002 12:41:49 -0600 (CST)
I live in the Central Georgia area and wanted to know if you knew of anyone in my area that has experience with patients who have PCOS? I have jusy recently been diagnosed with the disorder, after 2 years of trying to find out what was wrong with me. I have gained 60 lbs. in less than 2 & 1/2 years and have gotten to my witts end trying to lose it. I have been on several diets and of course none of them have helped me as of yet. I heard that the a Low Carb. Diets has worked wonders for people with PCOS, but I have also heard that they are not good for you, which is true? I am desperately seeking help with my weight problem, but everyone wants a fortune for their assistance and I just don't have the money it takes to sign up with these companies. I exercise every night for 30 mins. doing various exercises( sit-ups,push-ups,leg lifts, crunches, etc.)But I need more help than that the exercising does not do a lot but discourage me because I am still gaining weight and not firming up to much either. Could you please help me in finding a diet that I could do? That doesn't cost a lot. I have three children and money is tight. I have doubled in dress size and it makes it hard to get outside to play with them I used to do it all the time, now I can't seem to get the energy up to go outside and play with them. I know this has greatly effected them too! Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Diana
