Re: Non low carb diets TO ANNE

I can eat veggies, fruit, whole grains, nuts, and occasional small portions of meat for the rest of my life for one reason, my health depends on it. I don't find it ridgid. Diabetes and a diabetic diet is rigid.

I tried low carb and felt sick, I tried low glycemic and still had some troubles - and it ended up being a lot of meat.

I know that if I don't eat well, exercise and lose weight, I will become a diabetic, I watched my father become diabetic and I've experienced a lot of what he did when he was my age - over the last 5 years, he got it at 60 but felt he had it at least 8 years before it was discovered (as is often the case).

Prior to going on this diet I was reacting to more and more foods, and I was noticing circulation problems in my legs, my blood sugar continued to increase dispite the glucophage.

I'll never go back to eating like I did before, it was poison. I don't want diabetes, and I do want a child.

Anne.
