How many carbs per meal?....anyoneFrom: Barbra (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 30 Jan 2002 06:27:24 -0600 (CST)
Hi All, I have a question.....oops...maybe a few, How many grams of carbs per meal are most of you eating? Do most of you eat smaller, more frequent meals? In total,How many grams of carbs are you ingesting per day? Do you find that you have to consume a little food here and there,to prevent a hypoglecemia type attack?I do. I find that a piece of cheese or a light cold cut, like turkey breast, seems to work wonders when I am feeling poorly.Any of you find the same thing? Do any of you get shakey, anxious, sweaty and dizzy when you aren't eating every few hours?Again,I do. Can IR mimic a hypoglecemic attack?I am wondering,as my mom is hypoglacemic,so I am wondering if she could have IR,rather than the former. Do you women drink any fruit juices/and if so,may I ask,how much? Last but not least....How many experience irritable bowel syndrome? Do you tend to get the runs while on high protein diets? Any dizzyness, totally unrelated to anything,or to certain lights or foods,or upon standing up?I would assume the latter being low blood pressure. Any comments would be appreciated,as I am striving for the perfect balance of a diet here, and nothing is making me feel good. I have a small glass of orange juice and it sends me dizzy and shakey and sweaty. I do drink coffee, which I was told was a no no with this condition, but it actually does not affect me at all in terms of any symptoms. I need my morning cup and another before bedtime. Strange as it may sound..wakes me up,and puts me to sleep without any irritability. Thanks all!!!
-- Sincerely, Barbra Camara
