Yes fruit has simple natural sugar, but it also has alot of fiber! Fiber
aids in not letting your glucose level rise too fast. Fruit juice would
not be wise, being that it has no fiber and would act as any sugar
(although ocean spray makes a cranberry juice with "splenda" now and
cranberries are low in sugar). I think we probably need to watch our
fruit intake but since it has the fiber..if we really need to eat
something sweet it is FAR better than candy etc.. Hope this helps:D (I
retrieved some of this info from the book "Eating For Type 2 Diabetes"
if you would like to check it out, I dont have type 2 but if you have IR
you are at risk and it has the same affects i think)
