peanut butter cookies.From: Lauree (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 25 Jan 2002 16:34:48 -0600 (CST)
These cookies are not totally carb free but they are made from what i think is the better natural carbs we are allowed. 2-1/2 cups of Whole Wheat flour 2/3 cups of splenda 1/2 cup butter crisco 1 cup of all natural peanut butter(no sugar added) 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla ( I use 1/4 cup) 1 tbl Baking powder Cream together peanut butter, splenda, eggs, vanilla and baking powder. Then slowly add in flour the rest is basic knowledge in making cookies. oven temp should be 350 - 375 1 inch balls of cookie dough shaped with a fork to almost flat or I have also just left them round. Bake according to your liking. Also i found a candybar with no carbs and low fat. And yes it sure tastes good after not having chocolate for so long. It is called Carbolite and is sugar free. There is a chocolate peanut butter and also a chocolate almond. Granted it is only 1 ounce and is the size of a half candy bar but it is soooooo good I had to try it at 1.49 a pc and it is well worth it and satisfing! good luck Lauree
