I wil be interested to hear what the ovary biopsy shows. Thank-you so much for your advice,it has explained alot and I just went and read a website about ketosis. At the time that I was in that so called "ketosis",I was told to add more carbs to my diet.Basically,I was told to have the glass of orange juice and a darned piece of cheese,of which didn't help me with my nervousness at all. That endo just sucked,4real! Presently,I am on a high protein diet, reccomended by my new endo, but am having problems with it;I now have had to increase my carbs. I have had about ten thyroid tests done over the last four years...sometimes they were borderline and the doctor had me come in again and again to repeat the bloodwork,I had better start learning the numbers and T4 etc....I am illiterate here when it comes to remembering all the tests that I have undergone, especially when it comes to bloodwork. I fit the classic criteria for an overactive thyroid gland, but has been ruled out. Also,I gained over forty pounds in the last year after being put on the protein power diet by Michael and Mary Eades. The endo at the time wanted me to gain weight..actually,build muscle,so I went on this diet and did indeed build muscle, but gained weight. This is unusual,hu!,as when I see this diet,it is for loosing weight, not for gaining weight and that is what has happened to me. I was muscle atrophying at the time,as I lost a tremendous amount of weight for no apparant reason, but now I have an Undifferentiated diagnosis of Lupus,so that may explain some strange things. As for the heart problems..have had numerous heart monitors over 24or 48 hour periods, ekgs like crazy, rest muga test, stress muga test, treadmill stress testing, and the works. At a point where I had lost signicicant amount of weight,I was in an early phase of heart failure for lack of nutrients.,that is what I was told and I imagine that to be true,as I had lost so much weight. I do have arrythmia's still, but I also just had an echo-cardiogram about two months ago and showed my ejection fraction at a normal of about seventy something...before it was forty something. This I find quite scarey,as now I just recently got the diagnosis of PCOS..then today had the biopsy of the ovary. I do keep a diary of the foods that I eat and the symptoms that I get and cannot find a distinct pattern, accept that I get the severe heart palps after eating almost anything all the time. There are only a few days where my heart does not palp.I also go into Bradycardia, where my heart slows down to below thirty beats per minute upon exertion at times.I have taken alot of heavy duty falls from this, especially when attempting to lift something up..wow,I nearly faint,as I do when I emerge in warm water when I shower. I am forty,,,,my illness began in 1997.....diagnosis of PCOS,just recent. They have done numerous tests on me to rule out menopause. They say that it is a definite "NO". Yes,I do panic, bad panic,...feeling okay to go and do something and then I fall...wow,that sends me into panic for the rest of the darned day.I cannot take this anymore. I am scheduled for another fasting glucose tolerance test withing the next couple of weeks.I was told that I was IR. I had diabetes insipidus which cleared up on it's own, which I suspect now is the Lupus, not anything else out there.Or,from medications that I had taken, that again was some info that I received from some women on this group and then asked my doctor and he agreed. Thank you so much for your information,as I certainly don't want to go into that ketosis mode again,as I must have been in it for a long time, for it to do so much damage. I read the Atkins diet and it sounds great, but I wonder if it would be for me? I would like to take at least ten pounds off now(yes,I know,it does not sound like alot, but for my belly it sure is,lol!).I must be storing at least ten pounds in there. The rest of me is fine....just the inflating belly,,,,up and down....sometimes like a preganant woman. Again, thanks, take care, God Bless! P.S---I finally have a terrific endo and a new obgyon, and a terrific pshychiatrist to help me thru these rough times.
