Could you take a moment to go over the overactive thryoid descriptions at thyroid.org ? I am confused because, my dr. thinks I have an overactive thryoid, but I am at this point significantly overweight, have never experienced weight loss. I do have an irregular heartbeat, and seem to be IR (type II diabetes runs in the family, my mom has it). It seems my symptoms match more of the underactive thryoid symptoms. My older sister was recently diagnosed as having an underactive thryoid.
