Carb Cravings

Many times I find waking during the night is a sign of low blood sugar. Be sure to eat some protein before you go to bed (cheese sticks work swell). Also, sometimes one is just thirsty. I always treat myself to something at bed time, always including protein of some sort. Also, I have found, if you eat something that needs to be burned up, like wine or a high glycemic carb dessert, sometimes it is around 2 am when your insulin kicks in and burns it up, and this can wake you up. Again, protein and a drink of water helps.
