I've read that calorie intake needs to be at least 1200 calories a day or you could be causing more trouble than good (mental distress of being hungry all the time, bodily distress where it feels it needs to store fat, etc.).

Muscle weighs more than fat, did you know that? Watch the inches as well as the pounds, notice if your clothes fit looser, etc. as part of your progress meter. You certainly seem to be exercising enough!
