Hi LauraAnn, Probably the way to go is fresh vegetables (or frozen) in place of the pastas. If it is not in the house you can't eat it! Go for seasonal veges to keep the price affordable - and particuarly bulky ones. Cabbage (I know many people say yeck!) can be really delicious stir fried with a little lean mince meat or bacon ham and some rosemary and it is bulky and low calorie. Veges need not take ages to cook. I specialise in one pot dishes that I can prepare in 20-30 minutes or less - including cooking time. Check out tofu as a protein source. Stick to fresh rather than processed foods and you will reduce the price. Some say sweet potato is ok (as compared to the white ones) so they can also be used - if they agree with you. I make huge vege soups (wtih a bit of meat thrown in for flavour) and just throw it in the blender before I eat. But you do need to eat protein and some fats or else you will still be hungry. Drink plenty of water. Best wishes, Sally
