Hi, My name is Barbara Camara and I too, have PCOS.....always get nauseated.

I take homeopathic meds, but as it is the weekend and you would not be able to get any....may I suggest this...it really does help.

Drink water with squeezed lemon or lime..this is also a potent liver detoxifier. I know when you are nauseated, that even fluids can make the nausea worse,,but after your first glass,,you should feel some relief. After six small glasses,,I believe your nause will disappear. Also, try some ginger root....it works in about twenty minutes flat. You can boil the rootstalk and make a tea.....I am too lazy for that....lol,lol...so I would suggest going the nearest drugstore and purchasing some in capsule form.It will also help if indeed, you do have a slight stomach virus and will produce a little sweating, which is a good sign....it does not make me sweat...just gets rid of the nausea. Also,as long as you don't have high blood pressure....peppermint tea does wonders...mind you,you may be disturbed by the minty burps,,,but again,,,really relieves the nausea. If you do have a type of migrains/headache....take a cup of peppermint tea and lie down for twenty minutes. You will wake up totally refreshed and your tummy will thank you for the much needed rest. Hoping this helps you, I really feel for you,as I get plagued by this constantly, but since the remedies above,;I hardly get nauseated anymore.I drink the lemon water constantly. Nausea is awful....especailly when it is chronic. I had elevated liver enzymes(billirubin),so that was a reason for my nausea...as can side effects of the meds that you are taking. The above will not interfere with your medications. The best,is that you will be doing your liver a favour and not even realize it.Also will detox somewhat, and I know that all of us with PCOS need that badly.

If you would like more insight to some natural remedies...may I suggest that you contact a homeopathic doctor.....Nux Vomica and Ipeca Root in homeopathic doses will rid you of nausea forever and that is a fact.Meddorihum is also what has been prescribed for me since my newly found diagnois and has ridden me of my severely distended abdomen.

If you would like some sights to look on regarding natural, homeopathic meds,or If I can offer any other assistance, please don't hesitate to email me personally. Also, check out Dong Quai on the net,,,it is great for women with our condition...also great for nausea and absolutely no side effects,,in fact, this has regulated my menstral cycle to every twenty-eight days, like clockwork,,and ovulate on the tenth or eleventh day now.And the best part,,NO PAINS! No conventional meds for me. We have enought going on with our hormones, only to be prescribed these meds, that will only whack them out further in the long run.

Try some aromatherapy as well,,,seek that out on the net....the smells of grapefruit, orange, and others, diffused in your room,(and of course, peppermint),will also help you. These approaches have helped me cope when others failed.

Try and relax and have a nice weekend(I know it is tough when you feel crappy),,but please at least try something.

In my thoughts, Barbra Camara
