Re: PCOS-DIET digest 431From: anonymous@obgyn.netWed, 14 Nov 2001 23:11:19 EST
Dear Joanna. I would say I take in approx. 80-100grams of carbs a day, 80 being my better days. A little history, I started following the Zone diet about 3 months after the birth of my second child, I charted my cycle, found I was ovulating!!! Became pregs with my third, stayed on THE ZONE loosely throughout my last pregnancy. After the birth of my third I followed the Zone more strictly and began ovulatating with normal 28-30 day cycles again post birth 10 months. I have mixed in a few weeks during the summer with lower carb intake such as 60 grams for a boost, but I find I need more for variety. I think I will buckle up and be more strict again, I find if I get too much off track, I crave sweets relentlessly. Before all my pregnancys my periods were not regular and usually anovulatory. I was put on birth control pills to keeps things quiet. Hope somewhere in all this, I got to the answer you were looking for. LOL Sandra In Minnesota.
