Dear Lydia,

I understand. I'm confused too about a lot of things that have to do with our disorder. I wish someone would give me a clue about how to eat. I'm curious about the glucophage and insulin levels too. I was told by my doctor recently (endocrinologist) that I was taking the glucophage XR (1 x day) to help me ovulate (mostly) and that it also helps with the insulin resistance. I too am overweight and would love some help with this. I see to have most of my weight collecting around my abdomen and hips. I also read letter on here about women taking much higher doses of glucophage than I am, and I asked my doctor and she said that the 500mg that I take in the extended release is fine???? Anyway, I'm out here with ya girls. I don't post often, but I do read and try to learn occasionally. God Bless. :)
