Hello everyone! This is my first time sending a message! I've browsed this site and it has been amazingly helpful. Thank you all. Regarding Somersizing -- I read the book and I found it to be very similar to CAD (which is what I'm doing). I did have some objections to it. I found that it conflicted with CAD with regards to breakfast. Suzanne recommends eating fruit in the morning - alone. After a little while, she suggests you eat a breakfast with complex carb (like a really good cereal with lowfat milk). However, CAD recommends not eating anything that will raise your glycemic index first (fruit) and especially not following it up with carbs. Dangerous combination for the insulin resistant. The fruit will spike your insulin and then you'll be loading carbs in on top of it. CAD recommends eating a salad (low glycemic index) before eating any carbs, and if you do eat carbs they need to be balanced with protein and veggies. Otherwise, I found Somersizing to be very logical. I learned alot about nitrates and all the other garbage that 'low/non-fat' food contains. It made me appreciate that I need to eat real food. I knew someone (not PCOS) who did Somersizing and found that it gave her a lot of energy and she lost weight. However, she's no longer on it. I have been doing CAD for 10 weeks and have lost 16 lbs. That may not seem like alot, but I don't feel like I'm dieting at all. What makes it so easy is that I no longer have carb cravings. Hope this has been helpful. anonymous <anonymous@obgyn.net> wrote: Just wondering if any of you have looked into this..i found it made alot of sense and you arent deprived!!
