Hi Aimee,
Congrats on your new start.
I have found that low carbing (or rather low REFINED carbs) make a
tremendous difference to how I feel in terms of energy. Am slowly
losing weight as well.
Just a word of caution, just because you are low carb, do not go high
fat (that is unhealthy - particularly as many of us have lipid
abnormalities) or super high protein (that will put strain on your
