Hi ya, I have been actively fighting PCOS since Nov00. By following the Atkins diet and exercising I have regained a 28 day cycle (whereas before I was lucky to get one every 6-8mths), gained energy, and dropped fat. I had a break from the diet by introducing about 60g of carbs a day for about 6 weeks not so long ago, and my period was late, PMT extremely bad (i.e. moods etc), and I gained 3kg of pure fat!!! My weight has come to a stand still at the moment, but my body feels sooooo much better when following this diet (basically no more than 20-30g of carbs a day). So I'm going to keep exercising and dieting and pray that this extra weight starts dropping. Also, exercise is another key to balancing out our insulin, hence causing weight loss to become slightly easier. Hope this helps. See ya Dana :-)
