What now?

On my very first appointment with my gynecologist, I was diagnosed w/ PCOD. That was when I was 19 and was immediately put on spironolactone & birthcontrol. On my last visit, the birthcontrol was removed from my rx's due to it causing me to have elevated blood pressure. My doc said that I could keep up with the spironolactone if I so chose and gave me something to take every 3 months to start my period. I asked about gluclophage after reading about it here. She called me a few weeks after my appt. and said that she discussed it w/ my endo. doc and that it wasn't for me. What do I do now? Do I fight to have something prescribed or do I wait it out? I do work out and that has helped lose some weight, but it immediately comes back on once I let up in my routine. I've not had a chance to take the medication she prescribed to cause my period to begin because I get them now... not regularly (it varies between 3 weeks & 7 weeks) and they are more painful than before. I'm also getting these pimples on the sides of my breasts, my stomach and my upper thigh. But they aren't just pimples, they're the pimples from HELL! They hurt like a mother and are big. Sometimes they contain puss and pop, other times they just sit there and hurt for about a week and then go away. Is this something associated with the PCO? Is it caused from my hormones? Does anyone besides me get them? My dermotologist gave me a topical and it does nothing and in the meantime I'm being scared by these things.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank You Marci
