Believe it or not, even when you're trying to conceive, getting treatment for everything other than the fertility problem is still difficult. The gyns still want to treat the infertility and don't recognize all the other stuff going on, high blood pressure, being over-weight, high cholesterol, as part of the problem. Actually treating the pcos, which is causing the infertility AND everything else, was the last option given to me, following BCPs and clomid (even though we hadn't yet been actively trying, to see if we could do it on our own first!).

Gotta love docs, Michele
