Boy that story sounds familiar. Until my current OB/Gyn, Provera was the answer. Even the previous OB/GYN at the REI Clinic kept me on the Provera and said to let him know if I decided I wanted to have a child. (Never even told me I had PCOS; I figured that one out from a Cosmo article later! No offense to the ttc but some doctors don't see it as a problem unless the infertility is the issue). I took Provera for 4-5 years, just recently quit to start Avandia, but did have spotty days of brown (dark, old blood maybe?) occasionally. Am having a few of those days right now in fact at this end of this "period".

I have a much more PCOS-oriented specialist now, Thank God.
