Re: pcos,chlomid,pregnancy.From: Lisa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 20 Jun 2001 09:41:01 -0500 (CDT)
Lisa & Leslie, I just finished my 3rd cycle of clomid (no luck yet). I experience the pain also, which my doc says is a good thing because it means I have "good size follicle". Are you having an ultrasound every month? I have a vaginal ultrasound every month on day 12 of my cycle to see how the follicles are. Last month I had 2 very large ones in one ovary (on the side I experienced the pain). I find that the pain goes away immediately after I ovulate. I start the ovulation testing on day 10 and start testing twice a day on day 12 for my LH surge. It gets expensive, your best bet is just to break down and by the ClearPlan Easy Ovulation Indicator for $200. Because a pack of 5 tests is about $20 and each month you can go through 3 packs depending on when you find your surge. After the surge then its 3 days of intercourse. About the side effects, I didn't experience any physical effects, but I have never been so depressed in my life! Usually by the 4th day I am crying at everything. I have gotten so depressed I have had to leave work. I thought I was going crazy, but the doc says that is very normal. I hope you don't experience it. Sorry so long. Good Luck!!!
