Re: insulin resistace diet and pregnancy dietFrom: Becca (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 14 Jun 2001 22:59:13 -0500 (CDT)
Look at my posting from about 6 weeks ago (use the search function at the bottom of the screen when you enter the discussion board). I was told to follow a diet for gestational diabetes once I get pregnant. The specifics are in that posting (too lengthy to type up again). They might appear a second time more recently as the question has been asked 3 times in the last few months. If you have insulin resistance, you are at risk for developing gestational diabetes, so use the gestational diabetes diet to prevent complications. You may be able to see a nutritionist through your medical coverage...ask the OB/GYN. If you are pregnant, congratulations! : )
