Re: pcos dietFrom: Angie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 12 Jun 2001 02:42:06 -0500 (CDT)
Hi ya Linda, I'm from the north east of england and have had PCOS since i was 15,i've been over weight all my life but managed to lose 3 stones at the end of 1999 in three months, the diet i was on was the Rosemary conley one. After a month on the diet my periods started again and once that happened the weight seemed to drop off. Unfortunately i got lax and started nibbling here and there and gradually over tyhe space of a year its crept back on. But i now have the determination i had back then as i want to lose a stone for my engagement party in July, thats 6 weeks i've got. I'm 11st 7lbs at the moment and ideally would like to be 8st 7lbs, but i set myself realistic targets to aim for , therefore a stone at a time. I'm actually joining a Rosemary Conley diet and fitness club tonight, i went last year but stopped going as i kept cheating and gaining weight, i found the group environemnt very supportive and encouraging. Also they not only talk about the diet they also do an aerobics work out for 50mins which is really good. If you want to keep in touch about the progress we make on our diets, even if you try another diet and not the rosemary, you could be my PCOS diet buddy. My e-mail address is angie.chambers@btinternet.com Good luck and i'll keep the board posted with my success (I'm staying positive!)
