Re: Weight LossFrom: LF (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 2 Jun 2001 14:35:20 -0500 (CDT)
Jen & Donna & CJ, I'm a WW life timer, and I try to stay active on it. Right now I'm about 4 lb over goal. To answer the first question, yes, a PCOS woman can lose weight on WW. I did, even though I didn't know I had PCOS at the time. In my opinion, what makes WW work is the motivation to keep track of what you eat and of your portion size. The accountability of the regular weigh-ins works for me, too. As you know, WW does not make you keep track of carbs. It is designed as a plan that works for a lot of people with various causes for their weight. However, if you eat more fruits & vegetables, you'll find yourself eating fewer carbs, I think. --LF PS: One last opinion, I think Dr. Atkins Diet is too low on carbs and too high on fats. I say, "Moderation in all things."
