I was diag. w/pcos in Oct.'99 after ttc for 8 yrs! I FINALLY found a Dr. who prescribed Actos, and my insulin level and hormone levels have been normal for the past 3 months!!! I am very worried about my weight, however. I went from 130 to 180 lbs. in a couple yrs. after bc pills. Since on Actos, I have gained another 20 lbs!!! HELP! My Dr. said not to worry about the weight because we are still ttc and he said the extra stress of worring about losing weight right now would not help. I want a baby, but I don't want to weigh 200+ lbs when I conceive. I am only 5'2 1/2". I tried to do the Atkins while on the Actos and it caused my blood sugar level to go too low. Can anyone help me? I want to start excercising (aerobics and walking) but I am so afraid it won't help and I will just get even more depressed! Thank you! Teresa
