Laura,

I have had pcos since I was in college, almost 20 years. I have 3 healthy boys, and also had one miscarriage. My first 2 are 13 and 15, and then I had a surprise one who is 3. SO, yes there are women who are able to conceive and bear healthy children. If you stay on the low carb diet while pregnant, it will also help with the glucose intolerance.

Hi, I have been on Atkins low carb diet since January and have lost 42 lbs. I have been at a standstill the past week. I went to the OB/Gyn on Friday, and she ordered tests for PCOS. I am frustrated because I was diagnosed back in the 80's, and why pay the money for all of the tests. I am Type II diabeic also. I know I am insulin resistant now thanks to the Atkins program. Is it really necessary to also do the testing. I have had 4 pregnancies and have 3 sons, and am not having any more, so this is not an issue. I am interested in the supplements to see if these help with the plateau in the weight loss. Any suggestions?
