Hi All,

I don't usually post, just lurk here.

I just wanted to say to Sharron, it is so important to get your daughter help.

I was dx with pcos when I was 19, after suffering since 11. At 31 we bought a computer and my eyes were opened and my life was changed.

From 19 - 30, I was told I might have a harder time getting pregnant, but, that was all pcos meant. From 25 - 30 I spent all my time at an IF clinic, doing injections, clomid sperm washes, IUI's etc. I have had 6  m/c's from 25-30, and 2 chemical pregnancies between 31-32. This is were I am now.

When we bought our computer last summer I started researching pcos. I quit the clinic right away, and realized that pcos was so much more then an fertility issue.

I have all the symptoms, and have had since 11. I found a wonderful endo, then RE. They did all the required tests and this is what all the others had missed over the yrs.

Thyroid failure (now on meds for life),hyperinsulinenemia with IR (now on met for life),clinical depression ( I stopped using anti-depressants a couple yrs ago), microplasma in my CM, estrogen and progestrone defishency, high DHEAs, infertilty, repeated m/c, obesity,  I'm sure there is more but, I don't like to focus on them all.

My point being, through this whole post, I was in BAD shape, I TRULEY believe that it wouldn't have been so sick if I got help earlier.

Do not give up!!! I went through over 25 doctors and specialists over 20 yrs, before I found the 2 who changed my life!!! They were almost worth the wait!!!!

Growing up with full blown pcos- stinks -I remember it well. We never thought I would make it through them, but, I did.

If your daugter would ever like someone to email - just to talk about all this, I would be pleased to email her back. Just let me know.

I have a sister who has just turned 13 - who is starting to show some signs. It really scares me. How old is your daughter??? It is so good you are doing what you can for her!!! Don't give up.

My favorite site with tons of info on it is, www.soulcysters.com Excellent info provided there.

Hope this helps some,

Kim from Pickering, ont. Can.
