Re: staying motivated with low carbing....From: Dana (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 12 May 2001 23:50:35 -0500 (CDT)
Hi matey, I know exactly how you're feeling!!! I had initial weight loss in the beginning, but haven't been able to move anymore in the last 6mths. If anyone without PCOS was eating the way I do and doing my excercise regime, they would have reached their goal months ago!! I spent most of friday in tears through utter frustration. Emotionally this thing just tears us apart. So for motivation I think we need to all keep supporting eachother however possible. What also motivates me is being knowledgable on PCOS, and that staying low carb and excercising keeps my insulin in better balance which helps my overall health and wellbeing. Also if I don't stick with my diet and excercise then the weight would stack back on tenfold!!! I just keep hoping and praying that the weight will slowly come off - because the weight that has come off so far does stay off. Also I've noticed now that I have a period every month, I find that I am not in control of my cravings for about 2-4 days before my period. This sets me back each month emotionally and physically, but I've just had to accept that is how my body is and just be prepared each month. Thanks for listening, I didn't mean to blab on so much, but hey, I obviously needed to. Hang in there with the rest of us!
-- Dana :-)
