Previous message: Reena': "Re: Question" I am looking for help relating to insulin resistance. My daughter is 7, and has been diagnosed for about a year now as being insulin resistant. Her father is already a diabetic and I am afraid she is on the verge. I She was placed on a zero weight gain diet. We did well the 1st 6 months. She lost a pound or 2 but in the last 6 she has put on 10 pounds. We can not seem to get her weight back in control. I don't feel that we get proper medical treatment because there are so few pediatric endocrins in our area and they say that they are swamped with other children.
