Cathy,

Don't give up hope so easily! There is a drug in the works, that should be released sometime within the next year, specifically for PCOS. So far, they have found no side effects from it, and are having a HUGE success rate. Best of all, it is made from a natural substance (orange peels), so it should have little toxic effects to the body.

Many ladies have also found that regulating the body through diet can reverse the symptoms as well, such as following a low glycemic, whole food, or low carbohydrate diet. Something to consider here.

Also, you may wish to consider, if you have not done so, having your insulin levels tested. I don't know how much you know about this syndrome, but having insulin resistance is often a part of the problem, making it more difficult for us to lose weight. There are treatments available if this is an issue for you.

Hugs,

Leslie
