I was on metformin for 4 months in the UK and the hospital said I would see results after 2 months. Nothing happened despite strict useage and exercise/diet regime. My GP decided it was all nonsense anyway and I should have couselling to become happy about being fat!!!!! Out of desperation and a husband who is a pro at body builder supplements,I decided to start taking Thermovate. Anyone can buy it and it actually has been designed for insulin level problems - it is metformin with a metabolic kick in there too! When I took this and proper eating and exercise I did start to lose wait and had much better results that the metformin. This supplement may not be suitable for you but it did work wonders alhtough I have lapsed a bit now through laziness and money (it cost about £30 a month for the supplement!).

If metformin works for you, I would love to know what doseage you are taking etc

Hope this is useful info!

Karen.
