passing outFrom: Lina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 6 Apr 2001 10:37:42 -0500 (CDT)
I've been on the low carb diet for a while with almost no results (Protien Power, recommended by my doctor). However, twice in the last 6 weeks I've had blackouts. Both times followed a 'cheat' meal- I fell off the diet for one meal, got right back on, and about 6-12 hours later my blood sugar dropped rapidly and I blacked out. Yes, the obvious answer is not to cheat. In all fairness, I almost never do, but I'm human and its going to happen occasionally. My RE insits that I need to see a primary care doctor (basically said it wasn't her problem). I don't have a primary care doc, so now I have to find one and start all over trying to explain what PCOS is. Has anyone else dealt with this problem? Is the diet actually working well for anyone? Advice on how best to tackle the multiple doctor scenario? -Lina
