How can I lose weight with PCOS?From: Shannon (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 21 Mar 2001 23:45:31 -0600 (CST)
Hi everyone! I'm a 25 year old female with PCOS and I need help! I've gone from 140 pounds to 215 pounds in less then 5 years and I don't know what to do. Last summer I took back to back aerobic classes (step aerobics and aerobics to music, each lasting 1 hour) 5 days a week and I didn't lose a single pound. Now I'm walking/running 3 miles a day and rollerblading 2 miles a night with my husband and I still can't seem to lose weight. All I do is gain and it's really scaring me. I never thought I'd see the day when I hit the 200 pound mark and now I'm afraid I'm going to be 300 pounds before I know it! I have so much excess facial hair and electrolysis doesn't seem to help. I finally had my period in January, for the first time in 18 months, but now it's gone again. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 5 years now and nothing seems to work. Please help!
