Hi again, Your correct in saying oatmeal is a whole grain but only the slow cook kind not insant. You can also eat wild or brown rice, Oatnut Bread is good and also 9 grain bread..but in moderation...just one slice. There are really not a lot of options for whole grains..the best thing to do is read the labels and check out how many sugars and carbs and buy what has the least amount...thats what I do.Some cereals are ok that have bran in them..but again watch the sugar contant..the key is reading labels. I try to stay under 30 carbs per meal or serving..so that it is under a 100 carbs a day a day. I found a good bread that is Northern Oat bread by Orowheat that is 15 carbs per slice and 2 grams protein and 1 gram fiber..and is very low fat .05 grams. so this isnt too bad at all and it taste pretty good. Its low cal as well. So one slice of this with my tuna or with eggs makes my meal more complete. Hope this helped a bit..and no ones laughing..it can be really confusing..you should buy a good book like sugar busters to use as your guid. Dona
