Hi Andrea,

The Carbohydrate Addict's Diet book has some great information on how carbs work in our bodies, and what they do. I think it is one to read, even if you choose to not do the diet. I was on the diet for a while, but I really struggled with the confinement of being on such a strict regime (it is not as bad as Atkins or some others out there, and it does give you a meal to look forward to every day). Some ladies do very well on it - I think I saw a message the other day for someone who was looking for a diet buddy. I did lose weight on this diet (about 25lbs). Long term, it was just not a feasable choice for me.

I know other ladies who have a lower tolerance for carbs who also did not do well, as the one "freebee" a day threw their systems out again, and created carb cravings through the next couple of meals. This is something that I struggled with a lot in the beginning. I'm not saying this won't work, it is simply something to be aware of.

Leslie
