Hello Emma,
I am new to this site, and am hoping that you could tell me if the low
carb diet is working for you. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 16,
and I am now 30. I have not tried to have children yet, but am hoping
to be able to soon. I am overweight, and have been so since my late
teens. I have tried diet after diet, I'm sure you can relate! and lead
an active lifestyle. I have also suffered from bouts of depression. How
can I fix all this at the same time? I am on antidepressants and the
pill now, but what happens when I want children? HELP! Christina seems
to be a knowledge pot.... maybe you can share with me as well. Looking
forward to hearing from you... Tara

>>Hi christina I am just wiriting to say a huge thank you for the information that you gave to me concerning a diet. You have made far more sense that any doctor and as nobody has ever explained to me what insulin resistance is and how it really works and effects me - you really did explain it and now I know what is happening to my own body. So thank you. As you said it is frustrating and as I am looking through the sight I am gaining information so that I can take it to the doctor and make him sit up and listen to me and show him that I am educated in this matter, however I was just wondering if their is anything that you could offer in the way of advice that I could ask my doctor, different medicatin and tests etc. The trouble is that the last time I went to see my specialist he was incrediable rude and hurtful saying that I would die if I didnt loose weight and didn't stand any chance of ever having children, as I am only 22 years old I was scared hurt and angry at him for making me
> feel like that. And to top off the story he sighned me off his books and said he didnt need to see me again!!! As I am having no periods at all and have insulin resistance and am over weight (about 20 stones)I feel that I have to go to my doctor and start the refferal process all over again, but this time I want to be armed so to speak with information and questions(good ones ) to ask.
