Jennifer, Paula just posted an article within the last few days on insuling resistance, pcos, and it's effects on women, in the regular pcos forum. I believe it's on the Tuesday Feb. 27, 2001 posts. It is very interesting and can explain what you're asking about, you should check it out. I also wrote back to a question that Emma had on this page a couple of days ago explaining what insulin resistant was and how a low carb diet could help, so that may help you as well.
