Re: Exactly how low carb? Help!From: Christina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 27 Feb 2001 13:11:03 -0600 (CST)
Hi. I just posted a message for Emma (the post that is under yours) on diet and included a website that listed Canada's Food Guide. Maybe it would help. As far as I know, most people who low carb, don't no carb so you would get your fibre from whole grain foods. You don't have to never eat pasta again or bread, just switch to high fibre versions when you do eat these things. They will help. Also, fruits and vegetables, also lettuce, is loaded with fibre, so don't worry. So long as you're eating a well balanced diet, you'll get enough fibre. The carb intake really depends on how much weight you have to lose, if you're insulin resistant ect. It's fairly individual. Have a look at the post I left for Emma. :) Hope this helps.
