Amy,

First I would like to say don't panic.

As a person who received a pcos dx at 19, then got the run around till 31, please listen to what happened to me.

Even if it is not pcos a endocronoligist is what you need. He will do all the required tests for pcos and for your thyroid.

After my 5th m/c in July 2000 - I finally got onto the net and found all these wonderful sites. I found all the answers that I had been searching for. Then I got the shock of my life. Everything they (doctors) had told me to do, or not to do - was totally wrong!!!!

I got a referral to an endo who did the all proper testing and also discovered I have thyroid failure, as well as a few other things the 20 doctors before him had missed. DUH!!!!!

I started testing for weight gain problems etc., at 9yrs old, the answer always lose some weight. Yeah right. My GP has been telling me since 15 - It is all in your head - now all these yrs later I have a lot of problems that are finally getting the help the deserve. I know I would not be as sick if someone had taken my dx serious - and really helped me.

Any kind of hormonal issue the endocronoligist will figure out - and if you have pcos - when you want to get pregnant ask for a referral to a RE - reproductive endocronoligist.

I see both myself now, and after yrs of doctors ignoring me, and giving all the wrong help in all the wrong order - I finally have hope.

So, as my 32nd b-day approaches - I believe the next pregnancy will be a viable one, and hopefully soon.

Kim

HTH - It is so important to take charge of your health issues - or you can be lead astray!!!

Sorry, I deceided to play with my new browser. Hope you like the colour choice.

Kim
