I have lost 18lb by paying attention to the GI and with regular exercize. I don't keep track of carbs and I don't feel deprived-thats why I like this approach-also it works well for me since I don't eat meat. It is more of a 'lifestyle' approach than a 'diet' per se-which means I feel like I can maintain the loss. Good luck
