Hi, My finance has PCOS and needs to loose c.150 lbs. to get back to her fantastic olympic swimmer weight. We've tried Atkins and are now doing the Brian Peskin program. She's on 2550 mg/day of metformin. I do exactly what she does (probably more, but I don't have IR) and should be doing and I loose weight quickly and easily. That should give her encouragment that it can be done once her insulin is under control, but it seems to annoy her. My questions is, what diet (I understand it's a change of thinking about food) has worked for you, how long did it take, and what level of carbs do you take in per day, and excercise level to you maintain? Thanks for any help you can give. Jim
