What do you mean by Low Carb....Leslie? Jo-Nita? Anyone with Success...

Hi. Leslie and Jo-Nita both said that they have lost weight on the
low-carb diet. What, exactly, does this mean? Have you cut out all
forms of carbs - even fruits, certain veggies, and brown rice or basmati
rice? What about diet soda? Also, what about beans? black beans, lentils
and chic peas have a lot of protein as well as good fiber.
I am desparate to lose weight - I just cannot handle having so much
weight on me and have not been successful with regular diets. But, I
want to do this in a healthy way.
Once, I went to a nurtritionist and she told me to eliminate all refined
flour carbs - pasta, breads, scones, bagels, donuts and eat only
non-refined foods like brown rice, whole wheat bread.
Any specifics on your diet would be really helpful. I have read Atkins
and the Zone. They seem extreme. But, if it means losing weight, I may
consider it.
Thanks,
