I am 18 years old and haven't had a period since August of 2000. This didn't bother me in the least because there was no chance that I was pregnant. I finally decided two days after CHristmas to go to my ob/gyn to see what my problem was. After weeks of phone tag between my doctor and myself we finally got in touch with eachother this evening. She told me that I have PCOS and immediatly after saying that told me that I have a good chance at still becoming pregnant in the future with the help of medicine. I assume that was her first comment because the day I saw her, I told her that my only concern ,and my reason for finally coming in, was to make sure I would still be able to have children and she, at the time, said I most likely didnt have to worry about that!(I love children. I come from a family of five children (i am the youngest) and I am the only one without a child. I have 6 nephews and 5 nieces. My life long dream and goal is to become a successful mother) So, here I am all confused and depressed. I am afraid that I will never have children of my own. That I will never experience conception, pregnancy, childbirth, etc. If anyone has any words of encouragement or wisdom concerning this matter, please respond! thank you!
