Mary - I've just started on this whole thing and I'm not on metformin because my doctor says it's for women who are trying to conceive (and I'm definitely NOT!), but I've been doing Sugarbusters for about 2 weeks now. It's much easier than Atkins or the no-carb diets and does allow limited amounts of carbs. I try to eat oatmeal for breakfast, but if I'm in a hurry, I've been having Multi-Grain Cheerios Plus (allowed on Sugarbusters). If you're only having a hard time with breakfast (I miss potatoes!), try one of those. And yogurt is ok on Sugarbusters, too, if you stick to the no-sugar-added (except fructose) kind. I don't know if this will help you - I can say that I'm noticing a bit of a difference in my clothes and definitely have more energy. Good luck! Leigh
