Yvonne - Something to consider since you are young yet and, I am assuming, would like to have children someday, is that the pill is not the best option. I went on the pill before I was married, thinking that my husband and I were doing some great family planning. It has now been three years since I've been off the pill and still no kids. Instead my cycles have stopped completely. The pill triggers a hormonal reaction that increases the amount of testosterone in your body, which from what I understand, is not good for someone with PCOS. I was diagnosed with PCOS after I came off the pill and discovered my body wasn't functioning properly anymore. Do some independent research and talk with your doctor some more. If your doctor doesn't know much about PCOS provide the information you have or find someone who knows more about it. Good luck.
