Metformin is not just for getting pregnant but to help with lowering your insulin, must also say that some people who are not insulin resistant have done well with it . I think most people are insulin resistant who are pcos, but might not be at that stage yet or it is so minor that is does not show up. Just a thought :). Unless you are bothered by sugar or are have trouble with your sugar levels you should not worry too much about eating sugar, just don't eat too much of it or it will effect your energy level. Be careful of those low sugar products as some are very high in carbs. Don't use fake sugars as they make me sick ,so use florida crystals brand sugar, its not bleached and my tummy does well with it unlike white sugar. Have upped my protein and good fats and lowered my carbs and am doing really good and have lost weight and lots of inches :) oh use 500mgs 3x a day also which has helped. I think low carb. way of eating and the met have given me back hope and control of my life. Keep the hope, things will get better. Good luck.
