I didn't have a period when I was on it either. So far as I could tell, it was my body clearing up old blood that had been stored for a long time. It took several months (two years, actually) for my body to re-adjust itself from the effects of Depo. My periods were painful, and inconsistent in their timing. I also had clotting. Things have evened out now. You might want to consider trying to take an herbal supplement of Vitex to help your hormones balance out. It has certainly made a difference to my cycles. Feel free to email me privately. Leslie
