Hi Dana, I'm in the U.S. (Illinois to be exact) My friend had an exchange student from New Zealand a couple years ago and then my friend went to New Zealand for a visit when the girl returned home. It sounds like a beautiful place. I'm wondering what you mean when you say the Met was "no longer helping you"> Did you discuss increasing the dosage? I was only diagnosed about 6 weeks ago, but have been having problems and symptoms for years. The low carb diet is helping me so much. I felt better and more energetic after only a week. It is sure taking some getting used to, though. I ate sooo much bread, pasta, potatoes, and sugar. It is a complete turn around for me. Luckily, I have a supportive family. I'm still wondering your doctor ever recommended having your insulin level checked. E-mail me if you want to talk more about it. Good to hear from you.
