Re: To Jan and Jo-Nita -I'm 43, too!From: Helen (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 13 Nov 2000 16:08:11 -0600 (CST)
Hi Jan and Jo-Nita: I am also 43! I have just found this board, but have been a long timer on the primary PCOS board. Am happy to see a board just set up for dieting. I just purchased a tread mill and am trying to significantly increase my exercise. I have type II diabetes - full blown PCOS (in all its glory!!), and weight about 100 lbs more than I should. Less than 5 years ago I was at my goal weight. I have suffered with PCOS since I was 14, and have been unable to have children. My ovaries are completely resistant to any of the currently available fertility meds (pergonal/lupron/etc...). Seems as the chin hairs have dramatically increased over the last 2 years, and I just started using Vaniqa. I also am on 8mg a day of Avandia (as I was not able to tolerate Met.). I'd love to hear what diets are working for you, and anything that you are doing/using to reduce the joys (ha ha) of PCOS. Look forward to partaking in the wisdom of this board!!! Thanks.
