Newly diagnosed:Trying to get pregnant & feeling discouraged:(From: Jessica (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 24 Oct 2000 15:54:43 -0500 (CDT)
I was diagnosed with PCOS about 6 weeks ago. At first I was devastated, then focused, now I'm discouraged. All that in only 6 weeks! My husband and I have always wanted children, and now we are ready, just to find out that it may not happen. We will adopt if necessary, but we really want to try first. Have any of you been successful? I'm looking for inspiration, even if it's of someone else you know of, because I don't know anyone with PCOS. My husband is good about helping me sort out my food plan (40-30-30), and I have lost 16 lbs., which is good...I actually look pretty good, but I'm so worried about what the future holds, that I can't sleep or even think of anything else. Please, send motivation if it's out there, because my doctor is about to start me on Clomid and I'm worried.
